About the Director

Dr. Mudogo is an academic accountant who has had a significant history of scholarly achievements. They include having been the first prize winner of an internationally competitive postgraduate scholarship award from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (UK), which was used to finance his graduate studies at Birmingham University (UK). While at Birmingham University, he won the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce Prize for the best student in the university’s Development Finance program. He has been a professor of accounting. He has received a teaching excellence award in Management Accounting from Massey University distance education students. He has been awarded a commendation from both the New Zealand and Australia Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Certified Practicing Accountants (Australia) for taking a leading role in the development and professional accreditation of a new accounting degree program at Melbourne Polytechnic, in Australia. He has been Chief Technical Advisor in multi-donor funded Public Financial Management reform programs for the governments of Tanzania and Swaziland. With his background, he is exceptionally well-suited to take on a leadership role as Director of Kilimanjaro Accounting and Swahili Academy. In addition to his academic and professional credentials, he is a native Swahili speaker.
